In Afghanistan, the Taliban once again has taken control of the country, sparking a humanitarian crisis and threatening the lives of Christians in that nation. The situation is too sensitive to provide specific names or details. Compassion Services International (a UPCI-endorsed agency) is working with representatives to the Access Challenged Nations in the region to relieve the suffering of believers while helping others escape the country. You can partner with CSi to help rescue those who are in danger.

Haiti
Haiti has been hit by twin disasters: a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that killed over 1,000 people and Tropical Storm Grace. Compassion Services International is sending a team to Haiti on Monday, August 23, to assist Missionaries Ron and Terry Brian in providing help to the Haitian people. CSi currently is raising funds to provide emergency kits for families living in the areas hardest hit by the earthquake. Each kit costs $50 and will include rice, beans, towels, gauze, antibacterial ointment, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and water. Simultaneously, CSi is working with our missionary team in Haiti to prepare for the arrival of more substantial resources. Reach Out America (a UPCI-endorsed agency) has partnered with CSi to get relief supplies to Haiti. One of ROA’s major partners has agreed to fly the supplies. Florida District churches and Men’s Ministries partners and volunteers are uniting to get supplies—food, clothing, medical supplies, blankets, tents, etc.—onsite to transport these goods.
